Commissioned by the governors of Westonbirt
School, Gloucestershire, as a commemoration. The original is attributed
to the work of the architect Lewis Vulliamy who was active in the
late XVIII and early XIX centuries. This scaled-down version is typical
of his style, featuring spiralled gadrooning and egg-and-dart rim. |
